Road to the Linc Fundraiser to Bring Delaware Leaders Together in Support of DSU Football

WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware’s business, civic, political, alumni, and philanthropic leaders are invited to gather Wednesday, August 19, 2026, for Road to the Linc, an exclusive reception and fundraiser benefiting Delaware State University Football and featuring Head Coach DeSean Jackson. The event is presented in partnership with Docklands Riverfront and WeBackOutside.
The event is from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Docklands Riverfront in Wilmington. This exclusive, limited-capacity gathering will feature a networking reception, a special appearance by Coach Desean Jackson, sponsor recognition, and an opportunity to support the continued growth of the DSU Football program. Guests will enjoy a curated selection of hors d'oeuvres and a dinner buffet. Funds raised will support critical program needs, including team travel and operations, athlete nutrition and performance, as well as recruiting and competitive excellence initiatives.
Road to the Linc builds momentum toward Delaware State’s October 31 matchup against Norfolk State University at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The official 2026 schedule lists the game for 2:00 p.m.
Jackson, a former Philadelphia Eagles standout and three-time Pro Bowl selection, is entering his second season as Delaware State’s head football coach. His return to Philadelphia with the Hornets gives the Road to the Linc campaign a natural connection between Delaware, DSU, and the region’s football community.
Individual tickets begin at $250. Ticket and sponsorship packages are available. Net proceeds benefit Delaware State University Football, subject to the final approved event agreement.
