Tasties brings much needed "Soul" to Downtown Wilmington.
Tasties Soul Food Restaurant celebrated its Official Grand Opening at their newest location on Downtown Wilmington’s Market Street Tuesday. Despite the pandemic affecting many businesses in Wilmington, Tasties302 received a warm welcome by many soul food lovers across the city.
Based in Philadelphia, Tasties owner Barbara Devan started with a food truck and grew to two locations in Philadelphia. She has lived in Delaware for 13 years and has always wanted to open up a location in her new home state.
What Downtown‘s Been Missing
Tasties successful opening is what Market Street has been missing, a good soul food option. One of the biggest gamechangers is the fact Tasties302 is open until 10pm. With more and more residence living downtown, having a late night takeout food option is a big deal. Tasties probably has no idea how much of a big deal this is to locals.
